Great Cruise by
A Traveler from Orlando, FL
Sailing date: May 2009 Pros:
So much to do..
We just got back from a short cruise to the Bahamas on the Carnival Sensation. This was our first cruise experience and it was Awesome!! My best friend daughter turned 16 and this cruise was a gift to her. There were 5 of us. 2 adults and 3 teens. We had an awesome time!! The kids made friends and had a blast and therefore we had a blast. The ship was very nice and clean and the room was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The food was good and always available. The staff were very nice and very attentive. The Bahamas was very nice as well.
Ship Quality Perfect size for the amount of days of cruise
Dining/Food Buffet is great a large variety.. sit down dinner was very good as well.
Stateroom Quality Stateroom was great.. beds were very comfortable and size was perfect.. but for 5 ladies in one cabin all trying to get ready can get crazy
Ship Staff Quality Very Friendly and helpful
Entertainment & Activities Lots of activities however, since it was a short cruise could not do everything we wanted to do.. need a few more days.
Children's Programs For teen there's not to much to do unless they make friends early on then they will have a blast.

It was a beautiful cruise by
Michelle T. from Atlanta, Ga
Sailing date: Oct 2008 Pros:
I liked the fact that we ate when ever we wanted to.
Cons:
There wasn't any thing that I did not like about this cruise.
I was amazed because this was my first cruise and it looked like I was in the finest hotel. Everything about the ship was good, the food, drinks, and the clubs, oh let's not forget about the casino. The people that worked on the ship was very nice. I know this is not my last cruise.

WONDERFUL CRUISE by
A Traveler from Riverdale, GA
Sailing date: Oct 2008 Pros:
THE CRUISE SHIP ITSELF
Cons:
THE BAHAMAS, IT WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED.
The whole package for the ship was great. The activites, clubs, food, and staff was great. But i would suggest that tips be apart of the cruise package price that way when you get on the ship all of those expenses will be paid in advance.

Ship Staff Quality Very hard workers, I hope the are getting paid really good for the work that they are doing.
Entertainment & Activities need more shows that will fit the black race like plays or musical.

Nassau, Bahamas I did not like the Bahamas at all, the beach needs more work for the visitors, very unhappy.

Carnavel Sensation by
Edith S from Albquerque, NM
Sailing date: Jun 2008 Pros:
a lot of activities to do
Cons:
Cabin had a lot of noise coming from the engines and the cabins need to be re decorated
It looked like I was back in the 60's that the ship had not been re decorated in a long time. Pool was too small for such a big ship. The cabin we had was on the R level and it was too close to the equipment that we use to dock with and this casued a problem for me waking up at 6am each morning.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island We did the Wyndam Resort hotel package that inclued all food and beverages, and most of the water activites. This hotel was great and I enjoyed the fun in the sun.
Nassau, Bahamas We stayed for the day at the Comfort Inn and Suites which gave us access to the Atlantis water park. This was a great way to spend the afternoon

four day trip to Bahamas by
Chris A from Columbus, OH
Sailing date: May 2008 The ship and the cruise were OK. In comparison to a Royal Caribbean cruise we took two years ago, I thought this one was not quite as nice.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The food was good and the wait staff was also good. I wish however that they offered more vegetarian options

Entertainment & Activities The overall level of quality of the on-board shows (comedy, singing and dancing) was not quite as good as the other cruise. Also, the shows were scheduled rather late (in my opinion).

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Our excursion was a snorkeling excursion and we enjoyed it
Nassau, Bahamas We went to the beach (excursion) and enjoyed it

PLEASE READ before booking! by
A Traveler from Arlington, VA
Sailing date: Apr 2008 Pros:
Not too much - not too impressed
Cons:
Lack of activities, food was average, drinks were expensive, boring
My girlfriend and I booked a 4 day 3 night cruise to the Bahamas with Carnival Sensation. This was our 2nd cruise, so we had expectations. The food was very average. Though it was free, you could feel the pounds of fat being slopped into your stomach. The ship itself looked like Bush Garden's on water. You knew the ship was old by the mid-1990's lighting, seat cushions, tacky mirrored walls. Formal night was a joke. Nothing made it more special than any other night other than people were dressed up. There were very little activities on the boat. Shows were a bit boring. Drinks were expensive to my standards $6.95 per drink. When you check out, you are automatically charged $30 for tipping. You have no say in whether you want to give less.
Ship Quality Looks way old. Decorated like mid-1990s... you knew the ship was at least 10 years old .
Dining/Food Very little choices for heath nuts.

Great Food! by
Kathy K from Sterling Hts., MI
Sailing date: Jan 2008 Pros:
The food was great! Even room service was tastey!
Cons:
My son is 18-If you're under 17 lots to do! Over 21-lots to do! Nothing for 18 year olds!
I went on the Royal Carribean cruise before this-nothing compares to that, I guess.
While the staff was great, the ship really needs to be updated.
This is a party boat-if you're young and into partying, more power to you! But at 42, trying to set a good example for my 18 year old, there really wasn't a huge selection to do on board. The pool & jacuzzi were closed by 10:00-when the adults should be able to enjoy a swim or a soak.
We noticed a lot of peeling paint and floors that needed refinishing.
My son prefers simple meals, not a lot of choices in that area.
They offered juices, coffee, tea & milk-no soft drinks unless you went to the bar.
Tips are mandatory-I'm not cheap, but my stateroom man deserved much more than others on the cruise. He kept our room spotless, and always asked if we needed anything.
Over-all, the beach was the best!
Ship Quality The condition of the pool area was clean, but definitely needs to be updated.
Dining/Food The food was great, but they need more choices for people that aren't fond of lots of seasonings, or "chef style" dishes. I.E.-sandwiches, grilled chicken breasts, etc.
Stateroom Quality Only one working plug-only complaint!
Ship Staff Quality Room was kept spotless!
Entertainment & Activities Depending on age appropriate activities-there weren't many for my son.

Nassau, Bahamas Paradise Beach was gorgeous-taxi was only $4.00 per person-very fair!
The shopping was great-The market place was fun if you like to make deals!

Great time by
jackie w from tampa.fl
Sailing date: Dec 2007 Pros:
all the entertainment
Cons:
the trip back, ship very unsettle.
I really enjoy all the features and amenities. My only suggestion is to add more options to the buffett line but otherwise food was great. But overall my experience was wonderful. Looking forward to my next cruise.
