A really nice short cruise by
A Traveler from Ocala, Florida
Sailing date: Nov 2009 Pros:
The ship was clean, the food good and the staff pleasant and helpful.
Cons:
The balcony's on the veranda level are very small. You are told this in advance but it's still to tight to get comfortable. They ought to ban smoking completely. l
It's a nice ship that has been refurbished and is kept very clean. The crew is exellent and very helpful and friendly. The stay is Grand Cayman was very short and Cozumel is tight if you want to take one of the longer tours.
VIP processing on and off was great!!!!!!!!!!

An Average Cruise by
A Traveler from Denver, CO
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
Great Service
Cons:
This ship is showing it's age
This ship is showing it's age (15+ years) Large rust stains on the hull, Decor was gawdy and dated (think Mardi Gras cir. 1985). The staff were outstanding and very attentive, however. Main dining food quality was good, the rest of the food service was very bad.

Ok for 1st time family cruisers by
J E H from Atlanta Ga
Sailing date: Sep 2009 Pros:
service was excellent
Cons:
pool TOO small--
It's an ok cruise for first time family cruisers with young children.
We had teenagers though, so not much for them to do. The club they had for the teens (Circle C) was ok..nothing great. Too many kids not enough acitivities
Pool was TOO small. Couldn't really get in it unless you like taking a bath with 1,000 stangers. Only really two night clubs for adults, neither very good.
Comedian on the last night was HYSTERICAL!!! Very funny.
Food was average. For the money, this is an okay cruise. Not luxurious though. Don't go expecting luxury. The staff & service however were first rate.
Ship Quality ship was clean, layout easy to navigate.
The buffet had really long lines and the seating arrangements were not conducive to larger families.
Dining/Food the service was excellent. Food was average.
Except for the chocolate melting cake!! YUM. Ordered it every night.
Early seating for dinner was a little hard to make most times.
Stateroom Quality we had a family in one room. it was ok. the top bunk pulling out over the heads of the king bed did present a problem though as we kept hitting our heads. OUCH!!!
Ship Staff Quality Service was excellent. Crew excellent!!! Everyone extremely friendly. Quick when called upon. Excellent!!!
Entertainment & Activities We saw the shows every night. They were about average.
The comedian on the last night was hysterical!! Tooooo funny!!!
Children's Programs My kids did the Circle C club. (I have three) Only one of them really liked it. The other two said it was too crowded, not enough activities and not enough equipment (ie games, etc) for the number of kids that were there.

ok time not the best cruise we been on by
A Traveler from south carolina
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
The service of the ship & steward........ Good shows.....
Cons:
Our Cozumel stop was canceled at the last minute. They knew what was going on in Mexico they should have scheduled another stop... feel we should have been re-imburesed or done somethi ng for us.
The ship was clean, service in the dinning room was very slow.... Skipping a port was un called for. Should have done something for the people other than just refunding port charges.... Carnival Knew the situation in Mexico, should have made another port change......... or refunded something. Paid for 2 ports and only got one.................

Our First Cruise! by
Yi M. from Boston, MA
Sailing date: Jan 2009 Pros:
Great food, clean ship, friendly staffs, nice shows!
This is our first cruise and we enjoy every second of it! The food is great especially in dinner, we are assigned to Mardi Gras Dining Room and it's the best! New menu everyday and the desserts are great, we tried out almost everything! Also, I am surprised of how fast the food served, thought it would be a long time since there are so many guests. There are so much activities going on so make sure you check your daily guide ahead and plan which ones you want to attend. The staffs are so friendly that we decided to give them extra tips! Grand Cayman is a nice island filled with jewelry stores and famous for the Seven Mile Beach. Cozumel is very nice, very colorful and clean! The shopping area just off the pier so you can walk down and come back to the ship to eat or whatever anytime! We really enjoy the 5 days cruise, very good first time experience! Remember to bring some motion sickness medicine just in case or you can purchase them on board. Our last day coming back to Tampa the winds were strong and the ship was rocking a bit. Recommend this cruise for first time cruiser!

My First cruise by
First time Cruiser from Pinellas Park, Florida
Sailing date: Sep 2008 Pros:
The food and the crew
Cons:
The pool was too small
It was my first cruise and I loved it. The crew were unbelievable. Everyone was so nice and professional. The ship was constantly being cleaned, and our needs were attended to often. The food was excellent, I had heard many stories of what to expect, but I was surprised at how good the food was. Everyday was something different. I didn't even try everything, there was so much variety. I love the fact that you don't have to do the formal dining if you don't want to. There was always good food available on the Lido deck. I can't wait to go on another cruise. Carnival was excellent, and there was even a Hurricane in the Gulf we me and my wife went.
Ship Quality The ship was very clean, and felt really safe, even during a Hurricane.
Dining/Food Lots of variety. Creative deserts and meals. Wish they had more diet sodas
Stateroom Quality we had the lowest category of room and it was still a great room.
Ship Staff Quality courteous people with great attitudes. Very helpful people, who worked very hard.
Entertainment & Activities did not do a lot of activities. But, what we did do was great. The music, the karaoke, the fitness area. Next time will do more stuff.

More than I ever expected! by
Eileen G from Atlanta Georgia
Sailing date: Sep 2008 Pros:
The ship was clean and the staff was super!
Cons:
that it came to an end
This was a great cruise! The staff and the ship itself were fabulous! I was warned by other Carnival cruisers that I should not expect too much, well I have to say they were so off the mark. The cabins were spotlessly clean the steward was beyond helpful and the food was really good. I have to say that I have been on other Cruise lines and the food is always good, one in particular was of gormet quailty, like a 5 star restuarant, but I thought the food on this cruise lived up to the high standards that you expect on a cruise. The service is impecable and we had a fabulous time. The only downside was the charging for soda, it wasn't that bad but it should be included, especially if you have teenagers. All in all I recommed this ship, it was great!

Cozumel, Mexico the shopping in Cozumel was great and the shore excursion to snorkel and the beach party were fun. We had a great crew on the catamaran and beer and margaritas were an all you could drink, then on the beach they were water sport activities too! The crew of Fury catamarans was excellent! This one is worth the money!
George Town, Grand Cayman Not really a big deal was a little disappointed with this stop the only good thing was the shore excusion to swim with the stingrays! the beach stop included with this excursion was a waste of time!(and money)
