Great experience by
Ronnie L. from Winterville NC
Sailing date: Nov 2009 Pros:
This was our first cruise so we really enjoyed the whole experience of being out at sea.
Cons:
We had choppy seas for a couple of days so the ship was pitching and rocking alot. Thank God for Dramamine.
Very large, clean. Staff was courteous.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Food was not available 24/7 but when it was available it was good. We didn't do the "dress up" dinning so probably missed out on alot of good meals. We ate strictly buffet the whole trip.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities Mostly game show style entertainment, line-dancing, etc. Shore excursions were good.

Mixed bag - good and bad by
Holli H from Fort Myers, FL
Sailing date: Sep 2009 Pros:
Food, entertainment
Cons:
The people on the ship
Ship is nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is great and the entertain is good as well. The problem is the people that are on the cruise with you. If you want to be woken up in the night by drunken fools this is the cruise for you. Loud, drunk and rude is the way most of the people behaved. I saw a girl passed out on a table in the dining room on elegant night. I saw people standing in line getting food for their entire family with one tray. Meaning only one family member stood in line and it took over 40 minutes to get through the buffet.
Dining/Food very nice, great service!
Ship Staff Quality couldn't be better
Entertainment & Activities very entertaining every night

Pamela R. from Tampa, FL
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
Ship looked nice/Casino
Cons:
Staff/Food
The ship was clean and I thought looked very nice. But we were so disappointed with the staff and food on this cruise. We have sailed with Disney, and Royal Caribbean, this was our first Carnival cruise. We wanted a "fun" ship for our family vacation. We had heard we'd find this on the Carnival Imaginaton and were practically guaranteed that from our Carnival Cruise consultant we booked it with. Unfortunatly, I don't think they told the crew this. From the Cruise Director to every member of his staff, they were dull, unfriendly and down right boring. It is sad when you purchase the video from your cruise, take it home and show it to family thinking at least they would show the highlighted fun parts someone must of been having on this cruise, only to be completely embarrassed to watch it with them because even they commented wow, it doesn't even look like anyone was having any fun. Our dining staff was just as bad, not very friendly at all. We did not purchase the soda card for our children prefering they drink water, juice or milk w/ thier dinners. We practically had to beg our servers for these drinks, and since they rarely came to our table, we were not able to get refills. The food was unseasoned, and luke warm. The waiters rarely called us by name, and we felt as if we were bothering them if we asked questions or needed anything. After the first couple nights we (our party of 8 and the other family they sat with us a party of 3) decided it was not worth even going to the dining room anymore. It was that bad. Any questions you asked any crew member they could not answer. There was either a language barrier w/ some, and others just didn't answer and could not tell us who could answer our questions.
This happened time and time again. The one highlight was our room steward who we made sure received a great tip as he was the only highlight in this dismal boring waste of money.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The dining staff were sub par. They were not friendly or engaging and barely bothered to come by our table. We asked a question of the Matre de the first night she said she'd look into it, but she never bothered to come back to our table to advise. The food was luke warm and unseasoned. The buffett didn't have alot of variety and again the food was not hot. The midnight buffett was the same. The servers did not spk english.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality Literally the staff couldn't answer even the most simple of question. No one knew where you could go to ask about anything. One morning we were walking down the stairs as the cruise director and staff were walking up, I looked them direct in their face and said happily "Good Morning" they totally ignored me not even returning my smile!!! My husband was like wow that was extremely rude. The cruise directors staff looked bored and totally unengaged in every activity they were hosting. Very disappointing and so not what we expected on a "FUN SHIP"
Entertainment & Activities Cruise Directors staff were boring and seem bored with their jobs. I have never been on a cruise where the staff was as boring and unfriendly. The comedy shows were funny, the other shows were ok but about the quality I would see in a high school play.

Great Cruise by
Claudia S. from Austell, GA
Sailing date: Jun 2009 Pros:
The room was comfy, lots of activities, lots of scenery for good pics, the staff was very friendly, and the shore excursions were wonderful.
Cons:
Food was average, pool was small, gratuity too much per day, debarkation was horrible. Cruise director only told us about the assisted luggage when we could have kept our bags and gotten off faster.
I was pretty impressed with the ship. This was my first cruise so it was kind of hard not to be. The only problem that I had was that the ship was huge, but the pool was extra small.
Ship Quality I thought that staying in the interior room would be bad, but it wasn't. It had beds that were like bunk beds. The steward came twice a day to clean so everything was nice and fresh.
Dining/Food Food on the ship was okay. I only ate in the dining room once, but that is because I didn't know that you could basically order anything you want. The menu has items on there that you may be clueless about, but you can order multiple entrees if you are unsure as to which one will taste the best. Dining times were pretty good. Eating during the late night seating wasn't bad at all. They also had midnight dining.

Nassau, Bahamas I thought Atlantis would be a must see, but it was average. I do recommend that if you want to go there, go after 5 because it is free versus paying to see the aquariuum and predator lagoon.
Don't Miss: I did snorkeling and it was awesome. Just remember to have an underwater case for your digital camera. The ones that you can purchase from them reallysuck.

A Great Cruise by
Tim B from Indiana
Sailing date: Feb 2009 Pros:
Food, Entertainment, Cleanliness
Cons:
Longer Ports
The service on this ship was top shelf. They go way out of their way to make you feel at home and to accomodate any request. Most polite staff I've ever been around, compares to that of Disney. Highly recommend this trip.
Dining/Food Great service!
Stateroom Quality Bigger than I expected and so clean. Housekeeper was amazing!
Ship Staff Quality Everyone is always so happy.
Entertainment & Activities Comedians were good, shows were outstanding, Lubo was a bore.

A good but not great cruise. by
Mike C from Canada
Sailing date: Jan 2009 Pros:
Nightly entertainment
Cons:
Repetitive food at breakfast and lunch.
The Carnival Imagination is an older 70 000 ton cruise ship built about 14 years ago. I took a five day, four night cruise out to Key West and Cozumel on it in January. Key West was its usual loud and brassy self and the six hours there were about right to see most of the highlights. The visit to Cozumel was my first but having been to Mexico a couple of times before they follow the same formula in Cozumel as elsewhere in Mexico and it's a pleasant place to visit for a few hours and engage in watersports.
Overall, I would rate the cruise as average. The ship was nice but not spectacular, rooms were nice, the staff were courteous but not exceptional and the food was mediocre for breakfast/lunch and above average at dinner. I would recommend the cruise to someone looking for a cheap and quick trip but personally I would try another ship next time.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The dinners were generally pretty good with a wide selection of quality dishes. Nothing particularly inventive but they were prepared competently. Service, however, was best characterized as indifferent and was probably a result of the language barrier. Breakfast and lunch unfortunately were quite average and uncreative, the same things you would find in a hospital cafeteria at lunch.
Stateroom Quality Rooms were clean and efficiently laid out, they made the alloted 185 feet seem quite spacious for the two of us.
Ship Staff Quality Nothing impressive here. English is the second language of most crew members and this hinders their ability to interact with passengers and resulted in many misunderstood orders.
Entertainment & Activities Pretty good for a cruise ship.
