Overall a great time by
A Traveler from Eagle River, Alaska
Sailing date: Jan 2009 Pros:
The shows and the staff
Cons:
Vendors at stops....way to many
The ship decor is over-done. By the end of the week, we were tired of food.
The room steward was great and the dinner staff was also great.
We met a lot of great people and everyone was very friendly.
The excursions were not what I had in mind. I will do my own sightseeing next time.
The kids had a great time, and they had a tons of programs for them all week.
Ship Quality The room was great and it had everything, the decor was over done through-out the ship.
Dining/Food Food was great, presentation and service was also excellent.
Stateroom Quality Had plenty of room/storage, and our steward was great.
Ship Staff Quality Excellent
Entertainment & Activities Many quality shows that fit everyones tastes.
Children's Programs Tons of programs and it made it easy for the kids to meet other people.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico The excursions are very rushed. I would site-see on my own. Traffic was crazy.
Don't Miss: Bubba Gumps
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to many vendors and they were always in your face. Shore excursion was overpriced for what we received.

Fabulous cruise experience by
A Traveler from San Diego
Sailing date: Sep 2008 Pros:
friendly service
Cons:
fat passengers
My husband and I recently got married and booked a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera. The entire cruise experience far exceeded are expectations. Our cabin was clean and nice with super comfortable beds. The ship crew was very friendly and we received outstanding service from waiters, stewards, 24 hrs room service etc. We also enjoyed the evening comedy shows! Overall it was wonderful and we'd definitely recommend it to young couples.

Mazatlan, Mexico Beautiful city! We didn't book a tour or activity. We just took a cab to the old town Mazatlan and toured around ourselves. Then we spent the rest of the day on the beach relaxing.
Don't Miss: the cliff divers
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico The snorkeling trip on a sailing yacht to Yulapa, a small fishing village, was terrific. We took a beautiful horseback ride from the beach up to a waterfall. On the way back, the crew made us fresh margaritas.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Cabo is gorgeous!! Torquoise water filled with colorful fish. We just rented kayaks on the beach and snorkel equipment from the local vendors. We saved a lot of money by not booking the Carnival cruise kayak trip and just adventuring on our own.
Don't Miss: lovers beach

an ok cruise by
chris d from Mill Valley ca
Sailing date: Sep 2008 Pros:
everything that hotwire customer service helped us with was right on
Cons:
pressure to buy buy buy
Using the recomendation of Hotwire customer service we upgraded and every piece of advice he gave me was 100% accurate. The ship was clean, the steward and dining service excellent. Everywhere else on the ship there was pressure to spend more money and there were long lines for almost everything (except prearranged dining seating).

Ship Staff Quality Our dining room stff were exceptionlly good
Entertainment & Activities too loud - need better sound technician; comedy was dull

A Great Honeymoon by
Jennifer O. from Anaheim, CA
Sailing date: Jun 2008 Pros:
The staff was wonderfully helpful, entertaining and polite
Cons:
Alot of the activities on the ship weren't really all that interesting
We thought the staff was wonderful. We had an incident off the ship during one of the excursions and the cruise staff was great. They could have just shrugged the whole thing off since it wasn't their fault or related to them but they took everything we said very personally and took great care of us.

Entertainment & Activities Barry in the piano bar was the best! We went and saw him 4 of the 7 nights we were on board!

Another Great Cruise by
A Traveler from Camarillo, CA
Sailing date: Aug 2008 Pros:
The ship was beautiful and well maintained. The food was excellent and there was a great variety to please all tastes.
Cons:
The entertainment left a little to be desired. The shows were a disappointment. The dancers seemed to lack enthusiasm and the singing was a little weak. The last show of the cruise that featured cruise guests as entertainers was the best.
Our family had a wonderful time on the Carnivale Pride. The ship was beautiful and the menu selection was varied and quite good. We had excellent service from the staff. Our staterooms were always clean and well-stocked. We were always greeted with a smile and a hello. The only disappointment for the week was the entertainment. The singing was marginal and the dancers were very weak. Usually Carnivale offers great entertainment; however, this particular cruise was the exception. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and would recomment the cruise to others.

Will Cruise Again! by
Tom M. from Lake Tahoe, NV
Sailing date: Jun 2008 Pros:
Activities, Food and service.
Cons:
No complaints.
This was our first cruise and we will definately cruise again. We enjoyed the simplicity and ease of the cruise. The private balcony in our stateroom was worth the upgrade. The service, food and overall experience fit what we were looking for and we enjoyed the entire vacation.

Better than expected by
Todd P from Tampa, fl
Sailing date: Jun 2008 Pros:
The ship was nicer than I expected. I thought Carnival would be a budget line, it was not.
Cons:
a LOT OF KIDS, NOT HORRIBLE BUT IN THE WAY AT TIMES.
Ship was big and common areas large enough to move around even at peak times.
Ship Quality I could get from end to end easy
Dining/Food Ding room was good but food not great. Buffet was better than most. HAd a salad bar.

It was a FUN ship...... by
Raul P. from So Cal.
Sailing date: May 2008 Pros:
EVERYTHING was great.
Cons:
The cruise only lasts 7 days.
We sailed the last week of May out of Long Beach. Didn't know what to expect since this was our first cruise. Read lots of reviews both good and bad. Boarding seemed to be easy. Had reserved an extended balcony. Well worth the extra money. Overall everything was great. Service , food , enterainment, etc. Would definitely cruise again.
Ship Quality Ship is BIG. It makes exploring the ship fun.
Dining/Food Lots of variety. Breakfast is standard breakfast along with many other choices, cold and hot cereal, fruit, LOTS of pastries and even cold cuts for sandwiches. Lunch was something different everyday. Dinner was great. Have a table for 4 but other couple only showed up once. Different menu every night. Try everything at least once. Where else can you do this and not worry about the cost. Late night grill is nice after a busy day.
Stateroom Quality Having a balcony is great. Room was small but very comfortable. Was cleaned twice a day.
Ship Staff Quality Crew always greeted us when they walked by.
Entertainment & Activities Shows were great. Cruise director made it fun. You will only be bored if you're a stick in the mud. Visited the different bars and lounges. Lots of music to dance to or just enjoy.
